Terms of service

The service

RookerAI is an AI agent that runs your social media account on X, LinkedIn or Reddit toward a goal you set. It works through the RookerAI browser extension, whose side panel shows our web app at rookerai.com. Your agent plans, reads the posts on the pages it opens, drafts comments, replies, quotes and posts, and, unless you choose Review mode, sends them and follows people under your account, within the limits you set. It measures how its own posts do and learns from it.

RookerAI isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by X, LinkedIn or Reddit. Their names are their owners' trademarks.

Your account

• You must be at least 16, and old enough where you live to agree to these terms. If you use RookerAI for an organization, you accept these terms for it and confirm you may.
• Give a real email address and keep your sign-in safe. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
• An account is for one person. Don't share it or sell access to it.

What your agent does on your behalf

• It acts as you. Everything your agent sends goes out under your social account, in your name or the persona you set. You're responsible for it as if you had written and sent it yourself.
• You set the limits. You choose its persona, goal, strategy, caps on how much it does, rest hours, and Act or Review mode. In Act mode each send waits for a short countdown you can stop. In Review mode nothing is sent: drafts wait for you.
• AI makes mistakes. Drafts can be wrong, off-tone or inappropriate. Use Review mode until you trust it, keep an eye on what it sends, and stop it if something looks wrong.
• The platforms set their own rules. X, LinkedIn and Reddit may limit, restrict or suspend accounts for automated or high-volume activity. Your agent stops when a site shows a warning it recognizes, but we can't promise a platform won't act against your account. Choosing caps and modes that keep you within each platform's rules is up to you.

Acceptable use

You agree to:

• run agents only on social accounts that are your own;
• follow the terms and rules of X, LinkedIn and Reddit, and of each community you post in;
• comply with the law, including on advertising, disclosure of paid promotion, and data protection.

And not to use RookerAI to:

• send spam, or bulk, repetitive or unsolicited messages;
• impersonate another person or organization, or mislead people about who is speaking;
• coordinate accounts to fake engagement or manipulate votes, rankings or trends;
• harass, threaten or abuse anyone, or post hateful, sexually explicit, illegal or deliberately false content;
• collect other people's personal data beyond what your agent needs to do its work;
• get around your plan's limits, probe or attack our systems, or copy or resell the service.

We may stop an agent, or suspend an account, that breaks these rules.

Your content

What you give RookerAI (your persona, goals, offers, chat and answers) stays yours, and so do the drafts and posts your agent writes for you. You let us store and process it, and send it to our service providers, only to run the service for you, as the privacy policy describes. You confirm you have the right to use what you give us.

Your agents also note publicly posted problems and requests into a product-research list our team reads, and that work counts toward your AI budget. The privacy policy explains it.

Subscriptions, plans and the AI budget

• Plans differ in how many agents you can run, a monthly AI budget, and the highest activity caps you can choose. The current plans and prices are shown before you pay.
• The AI budget covers the AI model work your agents do (planning, judging posts, drafting, reflecting, chat, and the product-research notes). The app shows how much of it you've used. When it's used up, your agents stop doing AI work until it resets on the [Budget reset: 1st of each month (UTC) suggested] or you change plan. Everything else keeps working. There are no overage charges.

• Paddle is our reseller. Payments are processed by Paddle.com, which sells the subscription to you as merchant of record, and handles payment, tax and invoices. Paddle's buyer terms apply to the purchase. [Confirm wording against Paddle's required reseller clause]
• Renewal. A subscription renews each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Manage billing; it ends at the end of the period you've paid for.
• Changing plan. An upgrade takes effect at once, with a prorated charge. A downgrade takes effect at the next renewal. If you then have more agents than the plan allows, the extra ones are paused, not deleted. [Draft choice]
• Failed payments. If a renewal fails, Paddle retries the card. After [Grace period: 7 days suggested] without payment, your account becomes read-only until it's paid.
• After a subscription ends, your account is read-only: you can sign in, see your data, ask us for a copy, and delete it, but agents don't run. We keep the data for [Retention after cancellation: 90 days suggested], then delete it.
• Price changes apply from your next renewal, and we'll tell you at least [Price-change notice: 30 days suggested] before.
• Refunds follow the refund policy. A chargeback suspends the account while it's reviewed. [Draft choice]

Availability and changes

RookerAI works on websites we don't control. X, LinkedIn and Reddit change their pages, and that can stop some of your agent's work until we adapt. We aim to keep the service running and fix such breaks quickly, but we don't promise it will always be available or work on every page. We may change, add or remove features. If we take away something central to your plan, we'll tell you in advance [and what remedy, e.g. a prorated refund — decide].

Ending the agreement

• You can stop at any time: cancel your subscription, or delete your account in the app, which deletes your data.
• We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, don't pay, or use RookerAI in a way that puts other people, the platforms or our service at risk. Where we reasonably can, we'll warn you first and let you export your data.
• We may stop offering RookerAI with [Notice period if the service shuts down: 30 days suggested] notice, and refund any prepaid time not used.

Disclaimers [For legal review]

RookerAI is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise any result: more followers, engagement, leads or sales. AI output can be inaccurate, and you're responsible for checking what goes out under your name. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.

Limitation of liability [For legal review]

As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost opportunities, harm to your reputation, or action a platform takes against your account. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to what you paid us in the [12 months suggested] before the claim. We don't exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't let us exclude.

You agree to cover our reasonable costs from claims by others about content your agent sent under your account or your breach of these terms. [Indemnity: keep or drop — for legal review]

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of [Country of incorporation / governing law], and disputes go to the courts of [Courts / venue]. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in, and can bring a claim there.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and for meaningful changes email you at least[Notice of changes: 30 days suggested] before they take effect. If you don't agree, you can cancel before then; using RookerAI after that means you accept them.
